From one of the most sought-after Sires and is from a 10 times sprinting race winning Mare, this Colt is well developed and will go early.

We feel he is the type of horse you could gear up to trial and sell (to Hong Kong).   This colt would be a contender for the breeze up Sales.  Race in the early 2-year-old races for the big purses or try for group races and keep him entire.   Options are a plenty.

This outstanding Colt is stabled at Gosford and trained by Tony Newing.

Trainer Details

Ben started his career in the thoroughbred industry as a 15-year-old apprentice jockey to Tracey Bartley and had a successful career with 170 wins.

With weight issues playing its part, Ben had to choose a different path and his horsemanship was recognized by world renowned trainer John Moore, who engaged Ben to work for him in Hong Kong as a stable foreman.  This association lasted for 3.5 years and involved Ben looking after horses for John in Dubai and well as day-to-day training of their huge Hong Kong operation.

Following his return to Australia, Ben rode trackwork for leading trainers particularly on the Gold coast where he chose to base himself.  This led to an association with leading trainer Toby Edmunds which still lasts today.

Ben is still actively involved with riding the horses and rides his horses at track work to gauge them.  Ben still looks after a few for Toby and is well regarding in this sphere.

Ben has been a trainer in his own right for 6 years and has had metropolitan success, in particular with Red Letter Day and Bronte Babe.

Ben has been training horses successfully for SJ Racing for 18months and has provided winners with Tainted Affair, Queen of Manhattan along with being on hand when SJ Racing send their southern horses north.

Ben lists his finest achievement in successfully having Tegan Harrison agree to be his fiancé.
